Meanwhile, here's what you need to know about the House of Blues gala - - and Doc will be there!

IN NOVEMBER, 2003 THE HOUSE OF BLUES invites the world to enjoy a weekend festival that celebrates the creative spirit of folk art. The Fifth Annual “Where the Art Meets the Soul” Folk Art Festival will commence November 7th from 12PM to 5:30PM and will continue November 8th & 9th from 9:30AM to 5:30PM. This year’s festival will share DOWNTOWN DISNEY West Side with Disney’s Festival of the Masters, where over 150,000 people are expected to attend.

This year House of Blues Orlando would like to welcome folk artists: Mr. Imagination, Mary Proctor, Jim Shores, Bettye Williams, Jeanine Taylor Folk Art Gallery, Ruby C. Williams, AB the Flagman, James Gibson, Glitter Girl and many more!

In addition to approximately forty amazing artists, the International House of Blues Foundation (IHOBF) will bring engaging cultural programming to the festival, offering guided tours of the House of Blues folk art collection and hands-on art activities. Children of all ages are encouraged to experience the creative process and explore their imagination.

Moreover, IHOBF will be holding silent auctions throughout the weekend featuring artwork donated by festival participants. All proceeds will benefit local IHOBF activities, making arts programs more accessible to schools and communities.

The Folk Art Festival is a fulfilling experience for everyone- not just the folk art collector. Guests will enjoy live music performed by a diverse selection of bands, and distinctive Southern-inspired cuisine from the HOB kitchen.

Admission to the House of Blues Fifth Annual “Where the Art Meets the Soul” Folk Art Festival is FREE! For additional information, please contact the HOB Box Office at 407.934.BLUE.
